Elegbeji Storms Ewuga Palace, Secures Endorsement Of Ijaya Political Structure And Key Remo Stakeholders

The House of Representatives candidate for All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Ayoola Shola Elegbeji, on Sunday paid a strategic visit to the Ijaya political family at the historic Ewuga Palace in Sagamu — her first official stop since clinching the party ticket for the forthcoming Remo Federal Constituency bye-election.
The meeting, hosted at the Elewuga of Ewuga Palace, Sunday Oladimeji Osho the community head in attendance, drew together all arms of the Ijaya structure — including the Ijaya Elites, Ijaya Coordinators, and Ijaya Aides — as well as several political figures such as Prince Lekan Balogun, Hon. Ogundalu, Hon. Ikutaati, and Hon. Ajetunmobi Habeeb, Akogun Jamiu Alabi Olododo, Bayo David-Solesi, Gazal Olasunkanmi.
Elegbeji, in her address, described the Ijaya movement as “a foundational pillar in Remo politics” and reaffirmed her commitment to preserving the enduring legacy of the late Hon. Adewunmi Oriyomi Onanuga (Ijaya). She pledged to ensure that the Ijaya political family remains a formidable force under her leadership and that their relevance in shaping Remo’s future politics will not diminish.
“This is not just a visit — it is a homecoming,” Elegbeji said. “Ijaya’s legacy lives in all of us, and through your structure, I will continue the work she began. Your influence, discipline, and loyalty are unmatched, and I will ensure you remain a priority in all political conversations going forward.”

Members of the Ijaya family, visibly elated by the visit, unanimously threw their weight behind Elegbeji’s candidacy, describing her emergence as a reflection of continuity, vision, and trust. They assured her of unwavering support and promised to begin mobilization across the Remo axis ahead of the campaign season.
“We are proud that you recognized us as your first point of call,” said one of the coordinators. “You have our blessings, and our entire structure is ready to move with you from day one.”
The presence of top political stakeholders and community leaders gave further credence to the meeting’s significance, reinforcing the belief that Elegbeji’s campaign is gaining momentum from the ground up.
