Election 2023: Ogun Former Governor, Otunba Daniel Hosts Alake of Egbaland Among Other Dignitaries, Sue For Peace Across The Region

APC Chieftain and former governor of Ogun State, Otunba Gbenga Daniel has beckoned on the Alake of Egbaland to rally round other traditional rulers in support of President Muhammadu Buhari peace initiatives across the country.

Daniel made this call while playing host to the paramount ruler and other chiefs of the Egbaland at the Conference Hotel, Abeokuta on Sunday in Abeokuta.

Daniel reiterated the fact that the reign of the present Alake is becoming a runaway success during which many landmark achievements have come to Egbaland. Chief of them is the railway network from Lagos to Ibadan through Abeokuta which was constructed by President Buhari led administration after nearly three decades. He prayed that his reign would continue to be peaceful.

In his response, the Alake thanked the former governor who is also an egba Chief, for hosting him and promised to continue further consultations across board to achieve peace in the country.

Also with Alake is Ambassador Toye Okanlawon (the Bobagunwa-elect), Osi of Egbaland, Aro of Egbaland, Chief Yinka Kufile, and other Egba Chiefs. With Gbenga Daniel was Professor Kayode Oyesiku, former VC of TASUED; Professor Adegbemi Onakoya, former SSG; Professor Nurudeen Aliu and the Ekerin of Ibadan land, Chief Gbogboade.

Earlier in the day, Daniel had an interactive session with leaders of thoughts and politicians in Remoland at his Asoludero Court, Sagamu.
