Easter: Ijaya Calls For Relentless Sacrifice and Love That Breeds Peaceful Coexistence Amongst Citizens
Hon. Onanuga Oriyomi Adewunmi
Remo federal constituency in Ogun state
The lawmaker representing Ikenne/Sagamu/Remo North federal constituency at the green chamber of the national assembly, Rep Adewunmi Oriyomi Onanuga has called on Nigerians most especially the people of Remo federal constituency in Ogun state to live a life with ultimate expression of sacrifice and love being the premise upon which celebration of Easter as we do today is solidly based.
The Chairman, House Committee on Women affairs and Social Development, in her Easter message made available to the press in the early hours of today (as Jesus resurrects) by her Media Assistant, Adewale Damilare Sodiya, admonished Remonians to live up to expectations of what Easter connotes, that is, unconditional love as exemplified by Jesus Christ who paid the supreme price. Christ was assaulted, maligned, punished and ultimately Christ died for humanity sins. What love can be greater than this?
Rep Onanuga stressed further, she said it only takes the kind of Jesus Christ’s unconstitutional love to wither the storm of the present situation in the world as we battle covid 19 crisis that has affected virtually all aspect of human life including the economy. Love your neighbour as yourself, eschew violence, embrace peace and unity Ijaya added.
Pointing out the significance of Christ resurrection to the human race, which is a sealed eternal home for believers, Rep Adewunmi Onanuga revealed that in her less than two years in office, her representation has brought about resurrection projects with immediate impact on the common man in the constituency, she therefore craved for the indulgence of few communities deficient of her project to exercise little patient as she has not rested on her oars.
While wishing Christian faithful a glamorous Easter celebration, the lawmaker however, charged Remo citizens (home and diaspora) to pray for our land.
“As your federal representative, I will always put that that belongs to you and our constituency first, strive to facilitate more projects that will make our people’s lives easy to our communities. I admonish you to shun hysterical celebration and adhere to all the COVID-19 safety protocols as the pandemic is still much ravaging”, the statement concluded.
