The presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu, has denied his opponents’ allegations that he is sick and frail.
He asked rhetorically if he looked sick while speaking to businessmen in Kano on Saturday. Tinubu stated that he is running for president and not for a wrestling match or a race.
He said, “I’m not running for 100 yards or 500 yards. I’m running for presidency. I’m not competing for WWE wrestling. Do I look like a sick man?”
Meanwhile, earlier, a video had surfaced online of Mr Tinubu’s visit to the palace of Awujale of Ijebuland in Ijebu Ode that revealed how his flowing garment was soaked from behind when he stood up to address visitors at the palace. One of his security aides could be seen frantically covering his nose in the video.
Also in another picture that emerged subsequently, the APC flagbearer wore an inner device believed to be a ‘catheter bag’ to expel urine, which further reinforces the convictions of his critics about his frail health status, ahead of the 2023 general election.
