Detained Journalist Lahbash Likely To Embark On Hunger Strike, Reasons

Founder of Eaglesforesight, Bashiru Hammed Adewale Olamilekan popularly known as Prince Lahbash is likely to embark on hunger strike.

Lahbash, who has been detained for over 100 days at Ibara Correctional Center Abeokuta since May 13th, was granted a stringent bail conditions by the federal high court in Abeokuta, Oke-Mosan on 6th of June, 2022.

His wife made this known to reporters, on Friday, “Since Tuesday that he heard about my health and of his son. He has refused to see anybody and this is in protest that his rights are being violated with prolonged detentions.”

“Yesterday, he said he didn’t want to see anyone again till he will be released, including the people who do visit him, and that; why should he be eating when his one year old plus son is not feeling fine, and also been denied books to refresh his memories?.”
