The All Progressives Congress (APC) has described Hon. Oladipupo Adebutu (Lado) as the “vituperations of a prodigal son without agenda”, the comments of a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship aspirant, Hon Ladi Adebutu, in a video circulated on the social media on Monday morning.

In a statement issued in Abeokuta on Monday and signed by the Assistant State Publicity Secretary of APC, Mrs.Olusola Ogunsanya, a copy which was obtained by Eaglesforesight, the party remarked that “Hon. Adedibu has no agenda, no programme, no manifesto other than to abuse the occupant of the same office he dreams to occupy.”

The statement read in part: “It is unfortunate if Hon. Ladi Adebutu is the best that PDP can offer for governorship of Ogun State; and that will be a big insult of the psyche of the state of well educated and enlightened people of the Gateway State”.

“Ladi Adebutu took to the stage to boast of the wealth of his father as if it belongs to him and attempted to turn the unconditional donations made in good spirit by the respected philanthropist, Sir Keshington Adebutu, to a condition for Ogun people to support his moribund ambition”.

“Adebutu has cast his father in bad light by tainting the old man’s humanitarian gestures as political Greek gifts; even as he continued to waste the father’s resources like a prodigal son that he is”.

“Our advice is that Adebutu should grow up and tell the Ogun people what his plans for them are, if he has any. His campaign should go beyond abuses and touting of his father’s wealth as if his father is the only rich man or the richest man in the world”.

“Anyway, the people of Ogun had rejected Ladi Adebutu, who could not even win his party ticket in the last governorship primary election of PDP, and will continue to reject him and what he represents”
