A federal high court sitting Saturday night in Jalingo, the capital of Taraba state, drops an alleged certificate forgery case brought by Chief David Sabo Kente (DSK) against All Progressives Congress APC gubernatorial candidate Senator Emmanuel Bwacha for lack of proof .
Judge Bala KS Usman said in his ruling that Chief Prosecutor David Sabo Kente and his counsel had not provided evidence to support his claim against the APC gubernatorial candidate, as required by both INEC and the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, as amended.
Judge Usman believed that he has not listened carefully to all parties involved in the case, that the plaintiff has no evidence to support his case and consequently dropped the case.

Kente, through his counsel John Yuwa, had approached the federal Supreme Court Jalingo alleging that the gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress APC in Taraba had falsified some of the documents submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC, which qualified him to participate to the primaries. of the party.
Reacting to the verdict Barristers D. G. Tukura, counsel for Senator Emmanuel Bwacha and Barrister Boniface Iorkumbur of the All Progressives Congress (APC), both applauded the court’s position as a demonstration of fair justice in the eye of the law.
Meanwhile, Barr. John Yuwa, counsel for Chief Kente, said he and his team of lawyers would find time to study the verdict and advise their client on the next line of action as the verdict was brief.
