Corp Member Distributes Free Medical Supplies To 264 Residents Of Wuro Bando Community In Gombe
Ali Abdullahi, a Corp Member serving with the Nigeria Television Authority Gombe has organised a free medical outreach for members and residents of Wuro Bando Community in Tumfure, Gombe, Gombe State.
Abdullahi is a member of the 2024 Batch B Stream 1 corp members deployed to Gombe State for the 21 days National Youth Service Corps orientation course in June, 2024.
According to a report by Nigeria Television Authority Gombe, Wuro Bando Community is a rural settlement of Fulani in Tumfure, Gombe LGA with poor access to health care facility and clean drinking water.
The Medical outreach is part of Personal Community Development Service Facilitated by the Corp Member Abdullah to sensitize members of the community on best medical practice to stay healthy amidst the challenges of access to medical facility, examining and screen the members on all kind of ailments and subsequently administering to them free medical supplies.

The outreach recorded a huge participation of the community as over 264 members including community leaders and district heads were examined and administered medications for free, surpassing the earlier target of 200 beneficiaries.
For a sustainable change on the aspect of poor water supply, the Corp Member is presently on the project of constructing a water borehole for the benefit of the residents of the community.
