CCC Ajegunle At 60: Adebutu, Asiwaju Oluwole, Royal Fathers Celebrate Ajegunle Cathedral’s Diamond Harvest In Sagamu

The ancient town of Sagamu was aglow with celebration on Sunday, June 29, as the Celestial Church of Christ (CCC), Ajegunle Cathedral, marked its 60th Adult Harvest and Thanksgiving Anniversary, drawing a remarkable convergence of dignitaries, royalty, and faithful worshippers to honour six decades of spiritual legacy.
The event, themed around thanksgiving and communal unity, turned the cathedral into a hub of radiant joy and divine worship. From the vibrant choir renditions to the elegantly adorned sanctuary, the celebration was a rich blend of spirituality, culture, and reverence.
Prominent among the attendees were Honourable Oladipupo Adebutu, former gubernatorial candidate and philanthropist, and Asiwaju Bolarinwa Oluwole, a respected community leader and media figure. Both graced the occasion alongside other royal fathers and high-ranking guests, not merely as VIPs, but as members of a spiritual family bound by shared faith and cultural heritage.
Over the years, CCC Ajegunle Cathedral has evolved beyond its sacred walls to become a nurturing ground for transformation — producing leaders, building families, and uplifting the moral compass of the Sagamu community.
“This cathedral has served as a lighthouse in Remoland — guiding many spiritually, morally, and socially,” one elder in the church remarked during the thanksgiving service.
The choir, often referred to as the “heartbeat” of the church, delivered stirring performances that left many emotional, while the church’s Media and Technical Unit was applauded for its excellent coverage of the event, ensuring every sacred moment was preserved in quality and detail.

In his goodwill remarks, Hon. Adebutu commended the church’s steadfastness, describing the CCC Ajegunle as “a generational beacon of light and service.” Asiwaju Oluwole also echoed similar sentiments, hailing the congregation for upholding spiritual values in a rapidly changing world.
The celebratory mood was further enriched by testimonies of how the church has shaped lives and provided hope across decades, with prayers offered for continued growth, peace in the land, and divine blessings for future generations.
The event concluded with heartfelt appreciation to the church leadership for their consistency and spiritual direction, and to the members — young and old — whose commitment has kept the cathedral’s flame burning.
As the church steps into its next phase, many believe that its impact will only deepen.
“This 60th Harvest is not the end, but a fresh beginning,” said a youth leader. “The seeds sown over the years are bearing fruit. The best is yet to come.”
