Buni-led Committee Gets Ultimatum To Publicise 2022 Convention Details
The Progressive Mandate Movement, a group within the governing of All Progressives Congress has given the Mai Mala Buni-led caretaker and extraordinary convention planning committee an ultimatum of January 5, 2022, for the immediate release of processes leading to the national convention.
The group accoording to the Punch threatened to make the National Secretariat ungovernable for the CECPC by launching operation #OccupyAPCNationalSecretariat.
The ultimatum was issued in a statement signed on Sunday night in Abuja by its National Coordinator, Abdullahi Mohammed, and the Secretary, Adekunle Fijabi, titled ‘Respect Buhari, keep to February 5 national convention date, group tells Buni’s CECPC’.

According to the statement, the PMM also challenged Buni-led CECPC to ensure that the party’s national convention would not fail to hold by February 5, 2022.
It claimed that the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), had wanted the APC National Convention to hold in December 2021 but due to appeals by the Buni-led CECPC, the Buhari alluded to February 2022.
