Breaking: Supreme Court Sets Thursday For Ogun Governorship Appeal Hearing
The Supreme Court has scheduled Thursday, 11 of January , 2024 for the hearing of the Ogun State gubernatorial appeal between Peoples Democratic party Candidate, Ladi Adebutu and All Progressives Congress Candidate Prince Dapo Abiodun, the Ogun state governor.
A source at the apex court told Newsacoss.com that after the hearing, judgements on the cases may likely be reserved till a later date. Both parties involved were officially notified of this decision by the Apex Court.

Recall that on November, the court of appeal in Lagos affirmed the victory of Dapo Abiodun, governor of Ogun, in the March 18 election. The appellate court, in a split decision, on November 24 dismissed the petition filed by Ladi Adebutu, governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), in the election.
Also, in September 2023, the Ogun governorship election petition tribunal upheld the victory of Abiodun at the poll. In a unanimous decision, the tribunal, led by Hamidu Kunaza, held that the petition by Adebutu was “incompetent, defective and lacking in merits.”
