The Sagamu community has been struck with sorrow following the sudden passing of High Chief Dr. Abdulwasiu Awofala, the Losi Offin, on Sunday evening, October 27, 2024. His death came shortly after the successful celebration of Sagamu Day’s 40th Anniversary, adding an unexpected note of mourning to what was a joyous occasion.

A source close to the family confirmed his passing, though as at the time of filing this report, all efforts to obtain an official statement from the Akarigbo’s palace have so far been unsuccessful.
