BREAKING: PDP Stalwart And Ogun Political Icon, Alhaja Mujidat Ogunnaike, Dies At 83

Ogun State politics has lost one of its most formidable voices, as Alhaja Mujidat Ogunnaike, a revered women leader and political juggernaut in Sagamu Local Government, passed away this morning at the age of 83.
A lifelong member and influential pillar of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaja Ogunnaike was not only a force to reckon with at the local level but also a respected State Women Leader whose political legacy resonates across Ogun State. Known for her unwavering commitment to grassroots mobilization and female political participation, she remained active and influential until her last breath.

Often described as an “Iron Lady of Sagamu Politics,” Ogunnaike was widely admired for her courage, integrity, and strategic influence within the PDP. Her political prowess made her a determinant in Sagamu’s political direction and a guiding force for younger generations of women in politics.
She was also the in-law of Honourable Oladipupo Adebutu, former member of the House of Representatives and 2019, 2023 PDP gubernatorial candidate in Ogun State.
The family has announced that burial arrangements will be communicated to the public in due course.
