Breaking: Dele Odule joins Peoples Democratic Party
The former President of Thearter Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners (TAMPAN), Dele Odule has joined Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ogun State, as investigation revealed that his public declaration is in the offing.
Eaglesforesight reports that, Odule, a household name in the entertainment industry was said to have been wooed by number of his friends and associates said to be in politics, and members of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) across the country.
The findings further revealed that, the journey of Odule into politics started when he attended the 70th birthday of a popular socialite, known as Debasco, where he met number of his longtime friends, who used the occasion to encourage him in joining politics.
Eaglesforesight also reports that, the renowned comedian became convinced about the clamour by many of his friends and associates who were said to have being on his neck for a long time, and therefore resolved to pitch tent with Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The further findings showed that the new entrant will in due course be presented by the leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), an event the party is planning to celebrate massively, considering the weight of Odule in the society.
Eaglesforesight reports that, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leadership sees the incoming of Odule as a big catch which will boost the chances of the party in the forthcoming 2023 general election, and doing everything possible to celebrate the new entrant to high heaven in a date to announce soon.
The veteran movie actor, when contacted confirmed the development, explaining that, he was encouraged by number of his friends and associates, who are members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and have been assisting his professional body before now.
‘I met some of my long time friends at the 70th birthday of Debasco, many of them are politicians who belong to PDP, and they have been supportive to my professional constituency, Thearter Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners’, he explained.
Eaglesforesight reports that, he said, he was convinced about their genuine support given to Thearter Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners (TAMPAN), even before now, citing example of Hon Adekunle Akinlade, who he affirmed that as member of the House of Representatives did well for the association.
‘I know those who have been supporting entertainment industry, and where your treasure is, should be where ones mind will be. I have no regret, where my treasure is I will guide it jealously. I am not changing my mind. It is true that I have joined PDP’, he stated.
Eaglesforesight also reports that, he explained that his joining the party was not for financial inducements or gains, but was appropriate time to reciprocate gestures of those who have been supportive to the entertainment industry, adding that he is not rich, but contended and not a beggar.
