Sagamu, Ogun State – In a move to empower youth and drive community development, the Akarigbo and Paramount Ruler of Remoland, His Royal Majesty Oba Babatunde Adewale Ajayi, ably represented by the Royal Initiative for Development of Sagamu Community (RIDSCo) executives under the leadership of Mr. Sammy Ogunjimi, has presented a fully-equipped bus to the Sagamu Youth Association (SYA).

The bus was donated through RIDSCo by Transit Gas Nigeria Limited Company. While the presentation ceremony was held at the Akarigbo’s palace under the youth leadership of Comrade Olugbenga Isiaka Lawal popularly known as Ambassador Easy, was attended by key community stakeholders, youth leaders, and representatives from RIDSCo.

The initiative aims to enhance the association’s mobility, enabling better coordination of developmental projects, outreach programs, and youth empowerment initiatives in Sagamu.

Addressing the youth, Oba Babatunde Ajayi charged them to take greater responsibility for the progress of Sagamu, urging them to embrace innovation, entrepreneurship, and community service. He emphasized that youth are pivotal in shaping the future of Remoland and called for unity, discipline, and active participation in initiatives that will uplift the town.

“This bus is not just a vehicle; it is a tool for growth, unity, and service. I expect the youth of Sagamu to use it responsibly and contribute meaningfully to our collective progress,” Mr Sammy Ogunjimi said so on behalf of Akarigbo.

Expressing appreciation, the Sagamu Youth Association executives lauded the monarch and RIDSCo for their unwavering support. They pledged to maximize the bus for activities that will foster youth engagement, skill acquisition, and community-building efforts.

The donation underscores the Akarigbo’s dedication to youth empowerment and sustainable development, further reinforcing his commitment to positioning Sagamu as a model community within Ogun State.
