BREAKING: Abuja Residents Staged Protest Over Wike’s Resignation Call (PHOTOS)
There was a massive protest at the National Assembly gate, Abuja, on Thursday morning.
A significant demonstration unfolded at the gate of the National Assembly in Abuja on Thursday morning.
Recall that Wike has been in the middle of controversy with some aggrieved Nigerians pushing for his resignation from his post as the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT.
However, as early as 8 a.m., protesters gathered to voice their support for the Minister. This followed a similar protest at the same location on Wednesday, where a group had called for the immediate resignation of the FCT Minister.

But the pro-Wike demonstrators, belonging to the Nigerian Patriotic Forum, displayed placards characterizing him as a detribalized Nigerian. They urged the National Assembly to dismiss calls for the resignation of the former Rivers State Governor.
The protesters, who gathered as early as 8 a.m., were calling for support for the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike.
Recall that a similar protest happened at the same venue on Wednesday, where a group called for the immediate resignation of the FCT Minister.
