Bauchi State Governor Sen Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir on Wednesday inaugurated the road construction project from Rishi to the Tulu community of Lame district in the state’s Toro local government area.

This was in addition to the completed road project from Magama to Gumau in the same Lame area.

Speaking at the opening of the projects, Bala Mohammed said the work was to allow the communities in the areas to transport their agricultural products and have easy access to the infrastructure provided by his administration.

The governor, who was in the local government area for a second-term campaign trip, said the construction of general hospitals in Gumau and Rishi was also aimed at ensuring the well-being of the people in the communities.

While ensuring that more people-oriented projects are implemented in the local government area, the governor promised timely completion of similar ongoing projects in Falama, Ribina and Gwalfada, all of which have reached advanced stages of completion.

Bala Mohammed had previously visited three district chiefs from Jama’a, Lame and Toro, then concluded with a campaign rally at the local government headquarters, where he ran for re-election.

At the three palaces of the district chiefs he visited, the governor asked for their support, particularly in terms of security measures, urging them to denounce criminals and other bad eggs in their various communities.

He also told the traditional rulers that he was in their various palaces seeking their royal blessings and advice as he sought votes for a second term as governor.

The governor added that his administration has done well to ensure that the majority of campaign promises he made in 2019 have been fulfilled by pledging to do more if he is re-elected for a second term.
