BAT-2023: Tinubu May Only Step Down From Presidential Race Only If We See Someone To Contest His Antecedents – APC Chieftain Brags

Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu The Name Above All Political Names By Osigwe Omo-Ikirodah

‘I am not afraid of an army of lions led by a sheep; I am afraid of an army of sheep led by a lion-Alexander the Great.

Leadership is one of the tenets of a fair and just society, the ability for a leader to galvanise his team to achieve set down goals and objectives is the hallmark of successful leadership.

It’s the leader’s job to run his team into a team of lions, and we do this by creating belief and looking to get the best out of people.

The rundown to the 2023 presidential elections has been monopolistic all this while, no actions from potential aspirants that we expected should be making a tour across the federation building bridges. Actually, the elections are closer than we think, and according to the political calendar of the two major parties then obviously now is the right time to start sowing the seeds of interest.

The major parties would soon be having party conventions, congresses and other political activities that determine the delegates from the grassroots, so an intending presidential aspirant must have agents across all wards in the 774 local government councils in the Federation.

Achieving such is not just about having money to toss around or having agents appointed for the positions. It means identifying key players in the local district and giving them a sense of belonging.

Politics is about the game, backstabbing, betrayals, gossips and lots more, only a naive politician would not want to have trustworthy agents on the ground in all local government councils.

Na beans? How person want take get structure in 774 LGAs if him no plan well ahead of time? So what am saying in essence is that the high-level politicking we are seeing today as regards the 2023 general elections is well in line with the norms of politics.

Why does the name Tinubu towers above all other political names as the countdown to the general elections begin?

It might interest you to know that Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu just like every other potential presidential aspirant has not declared his intention to via for the presidency. So why are Tinubu’s activities rattling the political class?

If Tinubu wakes up it because a subject of debate, when Tinubu visits it becomes a controversial topic, why always Tinubu? Why does the name Tinubu towers above all other names in the political field?

A leader is one who knows the way, goes the way and shows the way. Tinubu has proven to be a leader and a true democrat. Prior to the 1999 elections, the military held sway as the godfathers they had the constitution under their wraps and manipulated the electoral commission to their advantage. On Obasanjo’s emergence, he successfully dethroned all the military Mafias and enthroned the political mafias.

With a strong influence and military background, Obasanjo made sure he kept the military in check while building formidable machinery in the political class. But Obasanjo’s leadership and influence were merely an act of political generosity and not out of followership or loyalty.

It is funny but true that out of all elected political officer holders from 1999 to date non apart from the Jagaban has a working school of students.

Obasanjo went into political hibernation after his exit from power which happens to be the same time with Tinubu. The 35 other governors that served alongside Tinubu that are still alive today hardly have a classroom of political loyalist how much more a working school of students.

Without consulting google can you sincerely name 10 governors that served between 1999 – 2007?

Tinubu’s influence and popularity go beyond holding the reins of power, it goes beyond having huge cash at one’s disposal.

Tinubu’s popularity is laced with integrity and street credibility. If Tinubu was as bad as some certain disgruntled anti-followers would paint him then ask yourself the following questions.

Why does he still maintain the largest school of believers in Nigeria today? Why is Tinubu highly revered by the ruling class?

Why are there no cases against him in any court of competent jurisdiction?

Tinubu’s style of politics is homegrown and not motivated by positions held or government patronage offered, it is a school with a unique ideology that is religiously followed by its adherents who fortunately appreciate the sacrifices the Jagaban has made for the benefit of democrats.

Tinubu remains a progressive and a rallying point for the progressives his name would always tower above all other names.

With a strong leader comes a strong army, leadership has the capability to turn an army of sheep into a force that could defeat an army of lions.

It is better to have a weak nation led by a great leader than to have a great nation led by a weak leader.
