Asake Exits YBNL, Launches New Record Label ‘Giran Republic’

Nigerian music sensation Ahmed Ololade, popularly known as Asake, has officially parted ways with Olamide’s YBNL Nation to establish his own record label, Giran Republic.
The award-winning singer confirmed his exit by releasing his latest single, Why Love, under the new imprint.
There had been speculations about a possible fallout between Asake and YBNL boss Olamide, following hints that emerged in late 2024. However, Asake earlier dismissed such rumors with his song Military, where he paid homage to Olamide.
The artist was signed to YBNL Nation in February 2022, and within months, he skyrocketed to stardom with multiple chart-topping hits.
