APC’s chances of winning gubernatorial elections
Chief David Sabo Kente, aspiring governor under the All Progressives Congress APC in Taraba, has insisted that the chances of winning the gubernatorial election in the state were higher than any other political party.
Kente made the statement Thursday as he responded to the Supreme Court’s ruling that annulled the party’s primaries in the state.
Chief Shuaibu Ataka, secretary of the David Kente Governorship Campaign Organization, praised the Supreme Court justices while briefing journalists in Jalingo on Chief Kente’s behalf for sound judgment. He said the verdict would serve as a lesson to politicians who felt society should continue its old draconian ways.
The guber aspirant also expressed his optimism that he would win the party’s ticket as he was always ready to go to another primary.
He further called on APC supporters in the state to remain calm and await the decision of the party’s national headquarters.
The Nigerian Tribune recalls that a five-member Supreme Court judge on Wednesday overturned Senator Emmanuel Bwacha’s emergence on the grounds that no party elections were held in the state and ordered a new primary to be held within 12 days.
