APC May Cancel Primary Elections Across Ogun State To Select A Candidate As Election Is Fast Approaching.
As the Chairmanship Election across the country is gets heightened, report reaching us from Remo tv has it that the All Progressive Congress (APC) may cancel Primary elections across Ogun State and beyond.
This was made known by a senior Member of the party in Sagamu Local Government, Mr. Femi Osinubi in a conversation with with our correspondent through Remo TV.

Despite the increase in the number of Chairmanship aspirant within the party, Mr. Osinubi said, Governor Dapo Abiodun advised that Primary election should be cancelled while a candidate should be consensually appointed as the election date is fast closing in.
He also stated that the Chairmanship election in Sagamu Local Government is majorly amongst three aspirants, the Incumbent transition chairman, Hon. Gbenga Baruwa Banjo, Pato and Ogbeni Odulate Afo.

Intra party selection is a no crime so far it is done on an amiccable resolution.

As far as ijebu ode local government is concerned there is no vacancy and the seat is not for sale. The most qualified and experienced candidate has been selected thorough due process by the exalted.leaders with.proven integrity records.

Seriously, I will urge his Excellency, Dr Dapo Abiodun, that It would be normal and reasonable to do primary for this forthcoming local government in the state to free people mind against your government. If you intend or decided to select candidate of your choice. It would cause chaos among APC members and it may also cause you to lose many people to opponent. It is better to listen to what majority of people are saying that local government election should be done by doing primary not select for both Chairmanship and Councillorship aspirants for peace and cooperation to reign in the party. If not, APC party is in trouble against 2023.

What is the meaning of primary election and how its been conducted ? To my knowledge where we are having more than 2 Aspirants elections must take place either by all members of that party or some designated members of the leaders or party Exco to reduce the number of Aspirants to one, concensus candidates can emerge where all Aspirants were allowed to talk to themselves and pick one among them,, looking at what is going on now in the selection of the party candidates primaries have been conducting round all the 20LGS and candidates have been emerging in some areas where free and fair elections or Aspirants stepping dawn for one another. In my local government Remo North where am one of the leading Aspirant 21 stakeholders are to determine the faith of 15 Aspirants and having seeing that one of the leading Aspirant is haven 10 votes already with my calculations when we were asked to talk to ourselves I have to stepped dawn for Prince Dapo Odunsi other 5 Aspirants followed and 2 stepped Aside having 7 Aspirant left for election, the election was conducted and Dapo won with 16 votes, Lekan 03votes and Dele 01 all others scored 0votes each . Can you imagine that the house of Assembly and the convener of this meeting later went ahead and said it was juju they used on them to cast their vote and append their signatures but thank God they were at the state yesterday to repeat the same election the result is still the same other did not have any vote again Dapo was declared as the party candidate for the second election my people Mr governor cannot pick candidate single handedly without contacting the stakeholders of various local government.
