Adebutu To Electorate: Don’t Allow Indicted Fraudsters, Criminals To Run Ogun Again [WATCH VIDEO]]]]

The governorship candidate of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Ogun state, Hon. Oladidupo Adebutu has called on the people of Ogun State to reject current political office holders in the state indicted for crimes and financial crimes.

Adebutu stated this on Tuesday while handing over campaign materials to party leaders and members at Iperu Remo, Ikenne local government area of Ogun State.

He emphasized that, a state that produced the likes of Chief Obafemi Awolowo, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, Late MKO Abiola and Sir Ernest Sonekan should not be run by indicted criminals by U.S Government.

Adebutu reaction was in response to Governor Dapo Abiodun’s postulation that the Oke-Mosan Governor’s office is not a beer parlour.

He, however, assured the people of the state that the Dapo Abiodun APC led administration would be held accountable for every penny spent in the last four years.

“Let me assure you, account must be given for every expenses in the last 4years. It is our lot as leaders to work hard and unearth this decadence and free ourselves from this toga. Can no longer allow a state where Chief Obafemi Awolowo, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, Chief MKO Abiola come from to be run by indicted fraudsters.

“Ogun state deserves better. We will offer you the opportunity to be served by great men again like Awolowo. We beg you to join us in this noble cause, we implore you, be our volunteers, canvass for us and perform your civic duty. Free yourself of the toga where your taxes and money accrued to Ogun state disappeared without trace.

“You are aware of the issues in the Court in America, that could have made the Ogun state Governor ineligible to contest which we would have pursued in the court of law, but the Electoral Act prevented us from doing such. Because at the time the candidate of Ogun state had been adjudged not appropriately placed. If not for the fact that the court out-ruled that we were not appropriate candidates, I would have contested his eligibility to contest because America has shown clearly that he was behind bars in America for committing various fraudulent activities.

“Recently, an aide to this same person, in America clearly stated that he got $5,000 per episode for fraudulent activities, in a better place Gov. Dapo should cover his face with shame and not parade himself as the executive governor of a state like Ogun.”
