Abiodun Inspects Ogun East Road Projects, Pledges Completion Of Key Routes In Sagamu

Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has reiterated his administration’s commitment to infrastructure development, pledging to sustain the ongoing transformation of the state’s road network. Over the weekend, he inspected key road projects in Ogun East Senatorial District as part of his Urban Regeneration Scheme.
During the inspection, Governor Abiodun highlighted the administration’s achievements in road construction, affordable housing, and transportation expansion. He revealed that 11 economically significant roads across the state have been identified for reconstruction, ensuring equitable distribution of projects.
While inspecting the 15-kilometer Sagamu-Iperu-Ode-Sapaade road, the governor described it as a critical bypass to the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, noting that the project was divided into three phases and upgraded from a single to a dual carriageway due to community cooperation.
Similarly, at the Sagamu-Ayepe road in Sagamu Local Government Area, Governor Abiodun assured residents that all strategically important roads in the area would be completed before the end of his administration.

He further revealed that his administration has built over 4,000 affordable housing units across Abeokuta, Ilaro, Sagamu, Iperu, Ijebu-Ode, and Ota, with plans to increase the number to 5,000.
Governor Abiodun acknowledged that while not all roads can be reconstructed in just eight years, his administration has likely constructed more roads than two previous administrations combined.
Expressing gratitude to the people of Ogun State for their support, he reaffirmed his administration’s dedication to education, agriculture, youth empowerment, job creation, and infrastructure development to drive economic prosperity.
Residents of Sagamu and Ogun East can look forward to improved road networks and economic opportunities as these projects near completion.
