Residents Of Oke-Ibu, Oke-Aredi And Ewu-Regun Chant Song Of Praises As RIDSCo Facilitate Projects To Their Communities
The residents of Oke Aredi community in Sagamu Local Government Area of Ogun State have lauded the Royal Initiative for the Development of Sagamu Community (RIDSCo) for the donation of Borehole water complete with other accessories including a brand new generator.
The Baale of Oke Aredi ably represented by the CDA Secretary, in his remarks during the commissioning of the project, said; the residents of the community have been craving for public potable water for years as they relied mostly on water from the private residences.
He said the donation would go a long way in helping the community and its environs, adding that it’s a good development from the benefactor after several unfulfilled promises by politicians during electioneering when they come to canvass for votes.
“We were very grateful to the management of Lafarge Africa Plc in collaboration with RIDSCo for the donation because this is a good project provided for us, and the community will forever be grateful to them. RIDSCo is a God-sent to this community by facilitating this borehole and powering it with a sound cool generator. No government has ever done this for us, not even when we needed transformer, which we contributed money to get it done. We really appreciate this gesture, the CDA Secretary said.”
In his remarks, RIDSCo Chairman, Olootu Omoba M.O. Oyedele said, we considered Oke-Aredi community for our next project because we discovered that the residents needed it more than any community at the time of request.

In the quest to giving more back to communities in Sagamu Local Government area, RIDSCo leads an entourage comprising the representatives of Lafarge Africa Plc and Transit Gas Nigeria Ltd to visit the site of the completed Police Secondary School at Oke-Ibu, Batoro Sagamu.
The project which is the second of such in the South West of Nigeria is awaiting commissioning anytime soon. The project is a tripartite collaboration among Lafarge, Transit Gas Nigeria Ltd and the good people of Batoro community. There are 3 Blocks of 14 classrooms with 4 large offices and 6 units toilets as well as a borehole.
While Transit Gas renovated a block of 4 classrooms, Lafarge undertook another block of 4 classrooms, 4 toilets and the borehole. The Batoro people provided the remaining 6 classrooms with 4 offices and two unit toilets. The project which is one the few big projects is scheduled for commissioning later in the year.
The representative of Kabiyesi Lowa-Ibu, Aremo Saliu Aina expressed the gratitude of Batoro community to the two donors and enjoined RIDSCo to urgently put machinery in motion for the smooth handing over of the School to the Nigeria Police so as to commence academic session as soon as possible.
Similarly, the residents of Ewu-Regun were unable to hide how happy they were, to welcome the entourage of RIDSCo and Transit Gas Nig. Ltd representatives to their community where a solid concrete culvert was constructed.
The Culvert which had been the wish of the people of Regun-Ojokoro CDA for years was commissioned for a easy passway in the community.
The Baale of Regun-Ojokoro, Baale Owolabi Okeowo, accomplished by Quadri Olododo and others, respectively gave their benefactor, Transit Gas Nig. LTD, a subsidiary of Axxela Nig. Ltd some accolades as the project was commissioned. He further seized the opportunity to demands for more projects.

Representatives of Axxela Nig. Ltd, Mr Adeniyi Gbadebo and Mr Amanze Azubuike also commends RIDSCo for taking their Community responsibilities as priority.
The team to the 3 project sites led by Olootu Omoba M.O. Oyedele included Engr Adebayo Osiberu, the Assistant Secretary of RIDSCo, OLU, Fola Akodu, SDA President, Hon Adeyiga T. Awoyemi, SDA Secretary, Com Adekunle Bello and RIDSCo Admin Manager, Lukman Banjoko.
The Lafarge’s representatives include the HRBP, Ezekiel Obasanya, Sunday Ajayi and Adeolu Lamidi.
Adeniyi Gbadebo and Amanze Azubuike represented Transit Gas Nigeria Ltd (a subsidiary of Axxela Nigeria Limited).
