Honourable Adewale Nurudeen Aka, has today 3rd of May, 2023, on Tuesday, made his Intention known to the party faithfuls at his ward, that he will be contesting for the post of Assembly at Sagamu Constituency 1.

Asiwaju Aka as fondly called by people, says; “after consulting with his family, party leaders, critical stakeholders in ward 1 and among his associates, now happy to making his intention known to all that”; he is aspiring for Assembly on the platform of All Progressives Congress, APC to serve the people of Sagamu.

“I am running with the hope that the people of Sagamu Constituency 1 will allow me to deploy my knowledge and experience as a former Legislature at the local government of ours, that leads the campaign of retaining many former Councilors to Government with the hope of making them relevant in the corridor of power.”

Today, I’m even more committed to serving our people and contributing to the progress of Sagamu Constituency 1 and Ogun State at large. So, hopefully as the next Assembly to be representing the people of my Constituency, I won’t avoid any challenges, and I’ll put my people in Sagamu first in all of my decisions.

At the heart of the critical challenges, we face as a Constituency and at state, is the urgent need for jobs for our people, especially women and youths, as well as insecurity that is threatening our way of life.

I believe that the rising insecurity in Sagamu is a result of rising unemployments, especially among the youths, Asiwaju Aka says.

He said; “in the past 3 years through the Dapo Abiodun Likes Mind, I have been running social and human capital projects to provide employments for few individuals in my capacities, disburse cash grants to women and support the development of vocational skills within my Constituency and State at large, of which over 3000 persons have been empowered through this intervention.”

“Now we must fight to create more jobs to solve the insecurity problem and harness the demographic dividend associated with the rising population.”

This requires a vibrant, diversified economy with a strong manufacturing base. He stresses that the task of our time is to seek bold new ideas, create the urgently needed jobs for our people and lift as many possible as he can, out of poverty.
