The Ogun State Coordinators of the All Progressives Congress Youth League has pleaded with leaders of the party in the State to emulate the Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun MFR by ensuring that youths are part of the forthcoming local government elections.

State Coordinator of the League, Comrade Olamide Lawal stated this after the monthly meeting of the League, held in Abeokuta.

Comrade Lawal maintained that the State has resilient and focused crop of youths who are determined to impact positively in their state.

According to him, ” We have youths in all the 20 local government areas of Ogun state who have courage, knowledge and the zeal to take this state to an enviable height”

“At our meeting, we agreed that our members that have shown interest in supporting our Governor through grassroots development should be given opportunity to showcase themselves through the forthcoming Local government administration that is about to be put in place soon”

The Coordinator pointed out that members of the League have identified the need to replicate the giant strides of Prince Dapo Abiodun at the councils.

He assured that the state would compete favourably among the Committee of states in the Federation if party leaders could allow the youths take over at the third tier of government
