We Made The Most Unapologetic Mistake Fighting Jonathan Over Subsidy Removal-APC Chieftain

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress,  APC, Farouk Adamu, has confessed that the party made mistakes fighting the then President Goodluck Jonathan over subsidy removal in 2012.

Speaking on a current affairs program, Sunrise Daily, monitored on Channelstv in Lagos on Tuesday, Adamu said when the APC was in opposition, it was vehemently against the removal of subsidy, but now know better that the subsidy had to go.

“ When we were in opposition, we fought against subsidy removal, but now that we are in government, we realized that the subsidy had to go.” He said.

Adamu who expressed his opposition to engaging mercenaries like the Jonathan’s administration did in 2015, said the situation is manageable.

It will be recalled that the governor of Borno, Prof. Babagana Zulum has advocated for the use of mercenaries to clear the Sambisa forest that has become the heaven of sort to the Boko Haram Terrorists to no avail.

The governor of Niger state, Alhaji Sani Bello, has also raised the alarm that Boko Haram has taken over some territories in the state and something must be done urgently, to salvage the already bad security situation in the country.
