AMOSUN CAMP BOYCOTTS OGUN LG ELECTIONS
At a stakeholders meeting held today, 10th May, 2021 at Ibara GRA, Abeokuta, the All Progressives Congress members loyal to the immediate past Governor of Ogun State, Sen. Ibikunle Amosun, resolved to boycot the scheduled Local Government Elections under the administration of Governor Dapo Abiodun.
The decision to boycot the local government elections was unanimously reached by the stakeholders including the APC Chairmen from the 20 local government areas of Ogun State.
The stakeholders agreed not to participate in the elections as a result of the handling of the Party membership registration exercise in which members loyal to Sen. Ibikunle Amosun were excluded.
Party leaders from across the 20 local government areas of the state concluded that the process will be a charade and manipulated in favor of Gov. Dapo Abiodun group.
