Buhari Seeks Senate Approval For Fresh $6.18bn Loan.
President Muhammadu Buhari is seeking legislative approval for a fresh loan.
The President, on Tuesday, urged the Senate to approve the new external loan of N2,343,387,942,848.00, about $6.183billion.
Buhari in the letter noted that the loan would be used by the Federal Government to finance the 2021 budget deficit.
Senate President Ahmad Lawan read the President’s letter of request on the floor of the Senate at plenary.
