Sagamu Youth Association Set To Change The Narrative With Program Tagged Teenagers Health And Sex Education
The organizers seized the opportunity to call on well meaningful Nigerians and the government to key into this project that will build a sustainable orientation in Ogun State and Nigeria at large.
The maiden Sagamu Youth Association Teens Summit tagged Teenagers Health and Sex Education elucidate on bothering mental, physical and socio-related issues.
Developing the right psyche skills in teenagers, providing necessary support system at early stage can help promote good mental health, and strengthen ties between teenagers, home environments and the community they found themselves; thus the motive behind this programme, likewise calling cognisance to higher risks of developing dependence and other problems during adult life, due to early use/abuse of substance in adolescent and teen age.
Mental wellbeing which is made up of our beliefs, thoughts, feelings and behaviours; requires reasonable amount of
counselling, friendship, exercise, nutrition, and meaningful engagement. It is often more realistic and helpful to find out what helps with the issues facing our teenagers, the emerging upcoming community of youths.
Sagamu Youth Association understands we can all suffer from challenges, but developing our wellbeing, resilience, and seeking help early can help prevent challenges becoming pronounced problem. And in partnership with Oaks of Righteousness Network.
The Association is obliged to assist our emerging community in managing challenges arising from psychological, biological, as well as life events of our teenagers mental health.
Sagamu Youth Association in conjunction with Oaks of Righteousness, seek to complement one of the specific targets of the health Sustainable Development Goal 3, need to comprehensive sexuality education, a curriculum-based process of teaching and learning about the cognitive, emotional, physical and social aspects of sexuality; a leveraging bump to birth at a young age.
