REMO KINGDOM: We Have Alot To Achieve If Peace and Unity Reigns Among Youths Across Remo, Akarigbo Of Remo Said.

In recent times, Shagamu the capital city of Remo land, has experienced unrest caused by rival cultist groups which led to killings and maiming.

These nefarious deeds have posed a serious security challenge to the citizens.

The traditional Councils pp led by the Akarigbo and Paramount ruler of Remoland, Oba Adewale Ajayi (Torungbuwa II) deemed it fit to see to the situation.
An interactive session on the way forward to put an end to such occurrence was put together tagged ”Royal Interactive with Remo Youths. The event which took place at the Akarigbo palace hall in Shagamu was hosted by the C.E.O OF Adron Homes, Aare Emmanuel Adetola king.

The event had in attendance The Elepe of Epe, Oba Adewale Osiberu, The Alaperu of Iperu Oba Idowu Basibo, The Alaye of Ode Remo Oba (suru) Adetunji Osho, The Odofin Soyindo Oba Lasisi Gisanri, and a whole lot of traditional rulers from across Remoland. The event also had in attendance representatives of youth Organizations, Social Organizations, NGOs, Political officeholders, and the general public.
Oba Adewale Osiberu, the Elepe of Epe in his welcome address says, he is happy that all youth organizations in Remoland are well represented which will give credibility to the maiden edition, and he urged all who have ideas, opinions complaints, and suggestion to voice them out.
Oba Babatunde Adewale Ajayi set the agenda of the event rolling by telling everyone seated to feel free and ask questions.

The opinion, questions, suggestions from members of the public took about 2hrs.
Awofeso Abiodun a social commentator, raised a suggestion that the culprit found culpable in the act of cultism should be severely punished, he says, those that have been found culpable in time past have been allowed to walk freely, which is the reason why the menace continues.
Hon Wasiu Sobowale(CFR) raised the issue of drugs and reckless driving by Yahoo boys. He says drug abuse is one of the major factors that lead to mayhem in Shagamu most especially. He urged the traditional institution to look for ways to tackle the issue of drug abuse among youths in Remoland because it is a strong factor that pushes youth to do what is not right.

Hon Jamiu Olododo urged the leadership of the Shagamu Peace Agenda forum to take up the challenge and do more in ensuring they flush out cultists from Shagamu. Olododo further says, he knows it’s not been an easy task, but SPAF should be more empowered to be more effective.
Other members raised the suggestion of encouraging more involvement of the local security vigilantes, OPC and Agbekoya that this will go a long way in curbing the security challenge. Otunba Kayode Howells, the chairman Shagamu Peace Agenda Forum talked extensively on activities of the forum on what they have done, and what more needs to be done.

He says they have devised all means both orthodox and modern to make sure those they know have been part one mayhem in the time past swear an oath not to be involved in such again. He also appealed to the political class not to get involved when a culprit has been apprehended.

In his remarks Oba Babatunde Adewale Ajayi(Torungbuwa II) says ” having heard all your suggestions and opinions, we the traditional council will sit down and make ”decision notes compiled and we will send our resolution to every one of you”.

He urged all traditional rulers in Remoland to go back to their communities and replicate this kind of interaction with youths and stakeholders of their communities from time to time, and the general meetings will be summoned either quarterly or bi-annually to resolve compliant and forge ahead.
The event which lasted for about 5hrs ended with a buffet.
