LOCAL COUNCIL POLLS: GOV. ABIODUN VISITS IKENNE LG, PRESENTS OGUNLEYE AS PARTY FLAGBEARER

It is indeed going to be a great homecoming for the Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo ABIODUN, as he visits Ikenne Local Government, his native local government today, in continuation of his statewide campaign tour for the forthcoming local government elections, slated to hold on the 24th of July, 2021.

The Governor is expected to address a large gathering of stakeholders at the Ikenne Motorpark, including community, political and religious leaders; traders association; transport unions; artisans; students and youth associations.

The event proposedly slated for 10am today, will witness the formal unveiling of the party Local Government Chairmanship Candidate, Hon. Olusegun OGUNLEYE, the vice chairmanship candidate, Hon. Bolanle FAKOYA, and the official handling over of party flags to them.

During his short expected stay, Prince ABIODUN will also commission and inspect some completed and ongoing people-oriented projects of his administration in the local government today.

The Director General of the Campaign Committee, who doubles as Chairman of the Ogun State Teaching Service Commission, Evang. Olalekan IFEDE; and Chairman of the Campaign Committee, also the Council Chairman, Transition Committee, Ikenne Local Government, Hon. Rotimi AKINSANYA, both enjoined the local government indigenes and residents, to come out massively to give the governor a rousing welcome to his hometown for Campaign tour.
