Akintunde Congratulates New Ogun APC Chairman, Sues For Peace
A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Mr Armstrong ‘Tope Akintunde has called on all members of the ruling party in the state to eschew division and remained committed to mobilising and strengthening the party for a landslide victory come 2023.
Mr Armstrong ‘Tope Akintunde has equally sent his felicitations to the newly elected Chairman of the party, Chief Yemi Sanusi describing him as a forthright politician and leader who has all it takes to reposition the party and make it only the party to beat in Ogun State.
The property merchant also praised the governor of the state, Prince Dapo Abiodun for ensuring that the congresses from the Ward to the State level were not only transparent but also reflected the wishes of the party members with the election of capable hands to steer the ship of the party aright.
Akintunde stated this while speaking with journalists on the sidelines of the state congress of the party held on Saturday at the MKO International Stadium, Kuto, Abeokuta.
He said “I must first of all congratulate Chief Yemi Sanusi, a very robust politician for his emergence again as the Chairman of our party. He is no doubt a thoroughbred, result oriented and someone who has the wealth of experience to keep making APC the only party in the state.
He has been doing a great job as Chairman, Caretaker Committee of the party and I have that assurance that with him again at the helms of affairs, APC is poised to remaining winner even as 2023 approaches.
“I hereby charge Chief Sanusi and other executive of the party to ensure everyone is brought under one umbrella. Our strength truly lies in unity, so, those on the other side should come back and team up with Prince Dapo Abiodun to further lift Ogun State higher. The state belong to all of us and we should not be somewhere plotting for its downfall.
Let me also commend our Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun for the success of the congress, I salute his rare leadership qualities once again and I sincerely call on the people of the state to give him more support as he remain dedicated to leaving the state far better than he met it by 2027″.
