“In wrapping up the 1-week work-visit to Ogijo and environs for the grading of our internal roads along Ita Oluwo, Ajegunle and some part of Odo Kekere, we had a special Town Hall Meeting with the Joint Community Development Council of ward 10 at Idomogun Landlords’ Multipurpose Hall, Ogijo.”

The meeting, been the first of its kind, had in attendance, representatives from Agbowa Area CDC, Ogo Irawo Area CDC, Tiwatope Area CDC, Oluwalogbon Area CDC, Alaseyori Area CDC, Amicable CDC, Ifekowajo Area CDC, Glorious Area CDC and New Glory Area CDC. “The meeting was a consolidated effort aimed at bringing our people at the grassroots into the business of government at the local government, and also to extend the policies and programmes of our administration to the nooks and crannies of Ogijo and most importantly our border towns and communities.”

It gladdens my heart that our people today, haven seen what our administration has done so far in our first seven months in office, now have trust in the local government and this, we will not take for granted. Today, I did not only saw the quest for development in our people but also their willingness to partner and cooperate with us in delivering the dividends of democracy to the populace, the council chairman stated.

“Ward10, being the largest ward in Sagamu with over 136 towns and villages is today, the fastest growing industrial hub throughout the State and potentials therein shall be duly utilised for the development of our people.”

“The town hall meeting was also used to sensitise our people on the construction of Alaba Market, Ogijo which our Administration is partnering with Elizer and other property developers for facelift and give it a modern look. I want to again promise our people that the existing shops and stalls owners would be given first consideration upon completion of the market project. And we already have records of every individuals that have shops and stalls in the market”, Ogbeni Afolabi Odulate said.

“I strongly believe in our people, and as a government that derives power from the people, I will continue to do all that is humanly possible to bring all willing hands into governance”, Ogbeni Afo pledged.
