Popular Skit Maker Sanku Comedy Dies in Fatal Oyo Road Accident

Nigerian comedian and content creator, Raji Samad Adetola, widely known as Mr. Sanku Comedy, has died following a tragic car accident along the Oyo–Ogbomoso Road in Ibadan.
The incident, which occurred in the early hours of Monday, reportedly involved the vehicle veering off the road and crashing into a ditch. Sanku and a friend who was traveling with him were rushed to a nearby hospital but were later confirmed dead.
Sanku, who ventured into content creation in 2021, had built a growing fan base with his distinct style of comedy and engaging skits, earning recognition on social media for his creative storytelling.

Reacting to the news, Nollywood actress Funmi Awelewa disclosed via Instagram that she had asked one of her students living near Bowen Hospital to check on him. According to her, he was initially said to be responding to treatment before his eventual passing.
The comedian’s sudden death has sparked widespread grief across the entertainment industry and among fans, many of whom have taken to social media to pay tribute to his life and craft.
