Ogun NUJ Hails DCP Muyiwa Adejobi’s Promotion, Describes It As Honour Well Deserved

The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Ogun State Council, has extended warm congratulations to Muyiwa Adejobi on his recent promotion to the rank of Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), describing the elevation as a reward for years of exemplary service, professionalism, and integrity.

In a statement jointly signed by Comrade Wale Olanrewaju, Chairman, and Comrade Bunmi Adigun, Secretary of the Council, the Union hailed DCP Adejobi as a shining ambassador of the Nigerian Police Force and a consistent ally of the media.

“His promotion is not only a personal milestone but also a source of collective pride for Ogun State and the journalism community,” the statement read. “DCP Adejobi has demonstrated that effective policing can go hand in hand with openness, humility, and respect for the press.”

A former Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in Ogun State and the current Force PRO at the national level, Adejobi earned a reputation for fostering trust between security agencies and the public through clear, credible, and timely communication.

The NUJ commended his unwavering support for press freedom and his collaborative approach to law enforcement, which has made him a respected figure among journalists and civil society.
