Ogun Lawmaker Hon. Damilare Bello Empowers Sagamu Youths With ICT Skills, Startup Capital At Graduation Ceremony

The Damilare Mohammed Bello (DMB) Foundation, in partnership with Hon. Omooba Damilare Mohammed Bello, member representing Ofin Sagamu 1 State Constituency at the Ogun State House of Assembly, has successfully concluded another cycle of its free Information and Communication Technology (ICT) training program. The graduation ceremony, which took place today at his constituency office, marked a significant milestone in the foundation’s ongoing commitment to digital empowerment in the community.

Hon. Damilare Bello, who serves as Chairman of the House Committee on Public Account and Anti-Corruption, demonstrated his dedication to youth development by providing startup cash gifts to the graduating students. This gesture underscores the lawmaker’s recognition that skills acquisition must be complemented with financial support to enable young entrepreneurs to translate their newly acquired knowledge into viable business ventures.

During the ceremony, both Hon. Damilare Mohammed Belloband  Asiwaju Bolarinwa Oluwole respectively delivered an inspiring address to the graduands, emphasizing the critical importance of digital literacy in today’s rapidly evolving world. Honourable Bello challenged the students to leverage their training as a stepping stone to greater engagement with the digital economy, noting that technological advancement presents unprecedented opportunities for those equipped with relevant skills.
