Sagamu Local Government Legislative Building

The Sagamu Local Government has commissioned its newly renovated Legislative Building — marking the beginning of a fresh wave of development projects under the leadership of Executive Chairman, Ogbeni Jubril Olasile Odulate.

According to The Eaglesforesight correspondent, the commissioning ceremony, which took place earlier today, was performed on behalf of the chairman by the Vice Chairman, Alhaji Isiaka Salami, in the presence of political leaders, council lawmakers, party faithful, and key community stakeholders.

While speaking at the event, Salami lauded Governor Dapo Abiodun for providing the enabling atmosphere for local government administrations to operate effectively. He equally praised the collaborative efforts of the All Progressives Congress (APC) family in Sagamu and applauded Chairman Odulate for his commitment to grassroots development.

“This isn’t just a building; it is a beacon of democratic values and legislative excellence,” Salami declared.

Also speaking, Hon. Babalola Oluwakayode (Immaculate), Leader of the Sagamu Legislative Council, described the renovated edifice as a “foundation for more effective and focused legislative service to the people of Sagamu.” He expressed gratitude to Governor Abiodun, the Sagamu Executive Council, and the House of Assembly member representing Sagamu Constituency II, for their consistent support in making the project a reality.

The newly upgraded building now features modern office spaces, a more functional layout, and improved infrastructure aimed at enhancing legislative operations and administrative performance within the council.

Adeniran Titilope, Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the Council Chairman, emphasized that the project is more than a structural upgrade. “This commissioning marks a fulfilled promise. It shows our unwavering dedication to sustainable development. And this,” she hinted, “is just the beginning.”

According to her, the Legislative Building commissioning is the first in a series of project unveilings scheduled across various wards in Sagamu, under the current administration’s development roadmap.

The event closed with a resounding applause from attendees, who described the transformation of the legislative complex as both timely and commendable — a testament to effective governance and the prioritization of people-centered leadership at the local government level.
