Shock In Anambra As 18-Year-Old Apprentice Allegedly Impregnates 10 Girls In Five Months

Anambra Commissioner Seeks Public Intervention Over “Unprecedented” Case
Anambra State – A wave of concern and disbelief has gripped a community in Anambra State following reports that an 18-year-old apprentice allegedly impregnated 10 girls within a span of five months, including his master’s daughter and a salesgirl.
The shocking development was revealed by the state Commissioner for Women and Social Welfare, Hon. Ify Obinabo, during a live social media broadcast on Wednesday.
According to the commissioner, the young man was initially sent to serve under a businessman as an apprentice but was expelled just three months into the program after he allegedly impregnated both his master’s daughter and the shop’s salesgirl.
“The situation escalated after he returned to his village,” Obinabo disclosed. “Within just two more months, he reportedly impregnated eight additional girls in the community.”
She added that the boy’s mother, overwhelmed and distraught, visited her office to seek help, lamenting that she lives in fear every time she sees a young girl approaching their home.
Quoting the mother, Obinabo said: “Anytime I see a girl coming towards our house nowadays, my heart skips. Please, I need help.”
Obinabo expressed deep concern about the complexity and scale of the situation, stating that it might be beyond a simple social welfare issue.

“This case is troubling not just because of the number of girls involved, but because of the boy’s age and the speed at which this happened. I’m reaching out to the public for guidance and possible solutions. Could this be spiritual, psychological, or something else?” she asked.
When questioned about how he managed to lure so many girls, the teenager reportedly claimed that he simply professed love and promised to marry them once he became successful.
As of the time of this report, the identities of the boy, his mother, and the community involved have not been disclosed for privacy and security reasons.
The Ministry of Women and Social Welfare has called on health and legal authorities, psychologists, and concerned citizens to join hands in addressing what it describes as “an unprecedented social emergency.”
