Sagamu Youth Association Suspends Vice President Muhideen Sosanwo Over Alleged Misconduct

Sagamu, Ogun State – The Sagamu Youth Association (SYA) has officially announced the six-month suspension of one of its members, Comrade Muhideen Sosanwo, following the conclusion of a preliminary investigation into alleged misconduct.
In a statement released on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, the association said the disciplinary action was taken to uphold the organization’s core values of accountability, integrity, and responsible leadership.
The suspension, which takes effect immediately, was endorsed by the association’s Executive Council, Stakeholders, and Board of Trustees after the submission of a report by the Disciplinary Committee Chairman, Comrade Oluwaseun Awofodu. The report was presented through the SYA President, Comrade Olugbenga Isiaka Lawal, popularly known as Ambassador Easy, to the Stakeholders’ Chairman, Comrade Aremu Adekunle Rasaq Ashaye.
Speaking on the decision, Comrade Ashaye emphasized that the association would not condone any behavior that tarnishes its image or contradicts its guiding principles.

“This suspension is a necessary step to preserve the integrity of our association. SYA is rooted in respect, discipline, and community service. Any member who acts against these ideals will face appropriate sanctions, regardless of their status,” Ashaye said.
He further disclosed that Comrade Sosanwo’s conduct will be monitored throughout the suspension period, after which a decision will be made on whether to reinstate him or proceed with a permanent expulsion, based on his behavior and commitment to the association’s values.
The SYA leadership reassured the public of its commitment to transparency and fairness in all internal matters. The association also expressed appreciation to the public and members for their patience during the investigation process.
“We remain dedicated to nurturing responsible leadership among Sagamu’s youth and ensuring that the association continues to serve as a beacon of excellence,” the statement concluded.
