Easter Sunday: Sagamu LG Boss, Ogbeni Odulate Urges Faith, Unity, And Hope In The Spirit Of Resurrection

The Executive Chairman of Sagamu Local Government, Ogbeni Odulate Jubril Olashile, has extended warm Easter greetings to Christians in Sagamu and across Nigeria, urging them to draw strength and renewed hope from the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

In his Easter message released on Sunday, Ogbeni Odulate described Easter as a season that reminds humanity of the triumph of light over darkness and hope over despair.

“Easter is more than a commemoration of Christ’s resurrection—it is a symbol of unwavering hope, love, and the power of renewal. Just as Christ rose from the grave, we too can overcome every trial, fear, and uncertainty,” he stated.

The council boss encouraged Christians to use the season as an opportunity to reconnect with their faith, strengthen bonds within families and communities, and embrace the message of sacrifice and compassion that Easter brings.

“Whether you are spending this day in worship, with family, or in quiet reflection, I urge everyone to hold fast to the values of unity, peace, and love. Let this sacred season remind us of the strength we have in God and in one another,” he added.

Ogbeni Odulate also used the opportunity to commend Christian leaders and faithfuls in Sagamu for their steadfast contributions to community development and moral values.
