Bill To Establish Federal Medical Center Ijebu Ode Scales Second Reading In Senate – Distinguished Senator Lekan Mustapha

A Bill for an Act to Establish the Federal Medical Centre ljebu Ode, which was read on the floor of senate on March 4th 2020 by Sen Lekan Musthapa, Scales Second Reading.

Senator Olalekan Mustapha in his lead debate, said the Federal Medical Centre ljebu Ode will provide services in specialized areas like neurosurgery, gynecology, orthopedic and other fields of medicine.

Senator Barau Jibrin from Kano state stand to support this Bill and commend the sponsor, Sen Lekan Musthapa for having the foresight to bring this Bill for legislation. And said, I urge my colleagues to support this Bill so that we can have a medical centre located in the historical town of Ijebu Ode.

The Bill was read in the second time and referred to the Joint Committees on Tertiary Institution and TETFUND, and Senate President urged committee on Health, Tertiary Institution and TETFUND to report back in four weeks.

Distinguished Senator Lekan Mustapha is indeed and in truth a good example of quality representation.
