The Sagamu Youth Association (SYA) under the leadership of Comrade Olugbenga Isiaka Lawal otherwise known widely as Ambassador Easy, has taken a bold step in youth development and community engagement by holding its inaugural Central Working Committee (CWC) meeting, where critical decisions were made to shape the association’s activities for the year 2025.

The meeting, which brought together key stakeholders and youth leaders, served as a platform to outline strategic initiatives aimed at empowering the youth and fostering positive change in Sagamu.

One of the major resolutions reached at the meeting was the scheduling of a monthly CWC gathering, set to hold on the last Friday of every month at 4 PM. This decision, which was unanimously agreed upon by the members, is expected to enhance effective planning, coordination, and execution of youth-focused programs. The association emphasized that these regular engagements would serve as a driving force for accountability and ensure that its developmental agenda remains on track throughout the year.

In a significant move towards youth empowerment, the SYA President unveiled plans for an innovative skills acquisition program on reusable pad production. This initiative aims to equip young women with the knowledge and skills required to produce reusable sanitary pads, promoting menstrual hygiene while also creating opportunities for economic empowerment.
