Beware Of Impostor Journalists In Ogun East Axis, Ogun NUJ Alerts
The Ogun State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) wishes to alert members of the public and the media fraternity about the increasing activities of impostor journalists operating in the Ogun East axis, most especially Ijebu Ode, Sagamu and entire Remo Land.
These individuals, masquerading as genuine professionals, are engaging in unethical practices that can harm the reputation of the journalism profession and potentially put the public at risk.
The State Council has one of its Chapels in Ogun East, ‘Ogun East Independent Chapel’ who directs the affairs of Journalists in the axis and are to recognise and recommend who our members are when there is any issue about authenticity.
The NUJ advises the public to verify the credentials of individuals claiming to be journalists before engaging with them or providing any sensitive information.

Authentic journalists carry identification and are expected to adhere to the ethical standards of the profession.
We urge all onlookers and community members to report any suspicious activities or individuals to the appropriate authorities.
The Ogun NUJ is committed to upholding the integrity of journalism and will take necessary actions against those found impersonating journalists.
Together, let’s safeguard the sanctity of the media profession!
