Iperu Youth Development Association (IpYDA) Secretariat Project Committee

In a historic and landmark move to further the growth and development of Iperu’s youth, the Iperu Youth Development Association (IpYDA), under the leadership of its President, Alhaji, Comrade Ganiyu Hammed, inaugurated the Secretariat Project Committee. The event, held on Saturday, December 14, 2024, marked the beginning of a bold initiative to establish a modern youth secretariat in Iperu Remo.

The committee, led by its Chairman, Comrade Rahmon Olusegun Odunayo, includes notable members such as Comrades Odukoya Lukman, Odubitan Nurudeen, Dotun Ogunnaike (Diaspora), Awonuga Sulaiman, Comrade Fisayo, and Comrade Muyiwa Osularu, who serves as Secretary.

Mandate of the Committee

The newly formed committee has been tasked with delivering a befitting youth secretariat within six months. Their responsibilities include:

■ Identifying and acquiring a suitable location for the project.

■ Mobilizing funds and support from individuals, organizations, and stakeholders.

■ Designing and constructing a modern facility to serve as a hub for IpYDA’s activities and programs.

Additionally, the committee has been granted authority to form subcommittees or engage other groups to ensure the project’s success.

Speaking at the inauguration, IpYDA President Alhaji Comrade Ganiyu Hammed expressed confidence in the committee’s ability to deliver the project. He highlighted the initiative as a milestone in the association’s history, underscoring its potential to enhance youth engagement and development in the community.

“This Secretariat is a legacy project that will strengthen our capacity to serve the youth of Iperu Remo and beyond. We are counting on the committee’s dedication and transparency to bring this vision to life,” said Alhaji Ganiyu.

The association is calling on well-meaning individuals, corporate organizations, and philanthropists to support the project. Contributions toward this initiative will help secure a brighter future for the youth of Iperu by providing them with a centralized space for empowerment, capacity building, and sustainable development.
