With three young lives affected in such a horrific manner, and the complete disappearance of two children hanging over their heads, relatives of the Abdullateefs are desperate for answers and, most importantly, action.
Yunus Abdullateef has been the target of the suspected killers, on several occasions he has narrowly escaped assassinations. One of the day he was brutally hitted by the car who aimed to crush him to death. This incident landed Yunus to be hospitalized for 3wks and sustained inner injuries.
“We are living in fear every day,” one grieving family member shared. “First, we lost our sister, and then our nephew who just wanted justice was killed. Now, we can’t even find two more children and Yunus is nursing injuries sustained from accident that was aimed to crush him to death by the suspected killers. How are we supposed to survive this?”

Local advocates are urging state authorities to launch an in-depth investigation and take swift action to find the missing children before any more harm befalls the family. “These children are the future, and they should never have to live in fear,” said a concerned resident. “The Abdullateefs need justice, and this community needs reassurance that the system will protect us.”

As a grieving family waits for answers and the search for three missing Abdullateef’s continues, the people of Iwo—and indeed all of Osun State—are left to grapple with the deepening question: who will protect the innocent if those meant to do so have failed?
As at the time of filing this report, reasons why the Abdullateef’s family is their target is yet to be known to the public and people in concerns, reasons why Gov’t should be up to doing in fetching out the criminals so as to avoid other families in the community from being victims and next targets after the Abdullateef’s family.
