Akarigbo Of Remoland Warns Against Illegal Oba Coronations, Targets Two Baales In Iperu-Remo

His Royal Majesty Oba Babatunde Adewale Ajayi, CFR, the Akarigbo and Paramount Ruler of Remoland, has in a strong move to uphold traditional authority issued stern warnings to two Baales in Iperu-Remo for allegedly parading themselves as coronated Obas without the approval of the Remo Traditional Council. The individuals, Chief Adesina Adeleke-Oditan, Baale of Itun Liyan, and Chief Olalekan Ahmed Adewunmi, Baale of Ikoji, are at the center of this controversy.

The Akarigbo has notified the Ogun State government and law enforcement, urging them to investigate and bring the culprits to justice. Furthermore, disciplinary measures have already begun to assess whether these chiefs remain fit to continue in their roles as Baales.

This breach reportedly violates the Ogun State Obas Law of 2021, which imposes strict penalties including imprisonment and fines for such offenses. The Akarigbo Palace has reiterated its commitment to maintaining law and order in the traditional leadership structure.

The aforementioned Baales are hereby warned to desist from such act in their own interests.The Government and the Law enforcement agencies have been notified to ensure they are brought to book after proper investigation.

In the meantime appropriate disciplinary action has been commenced against the two of them to determine whether they are fit and proper to remain as Baale of their different communities.

These acts constitute offences under the Ogun State Obas Law, 2021 and attract penalties of imprisonment and fines.
