Sagamu Youths President, Comrade Olugbenga Lawal Set To Launch Anti-Refuse Dumping Campaign, Warns Of Environmental Hazards
The Sagamu Youth Association new President, Comrade Olugbenga Lawal popularly known as Ambassador Easy, has urges the public to join efforts to protect drainage systems and prevent disasters in Sagamu community.
The Sagamu Youth Association (SYA), under the leadership of its new President, Comrade Olugbenga Lawal (Ambassador Easy), has embarked on a critical campaign to sensitize the public on the dangers of dumping refuse inside drainage systems.
As the rainy season intensifies, the SYA is intensifying efforts to educate residents on the devastating consequences of improper waste disposal, which can lead to flooding, environmental degradation, and health risks.
“We urge all Sagamu residents to join hands in this crucial campaign,” President Lawal stated. “Dumping refuse inside drainages is not only illegal but also poses significant threats to our community’s well-being. Prevention is better than cure, and people’s welfare is our top priority.”

The SYA is calling on youths across Sagamu Local Government to actively participate in the campaign, spreading awareness and promoting responsible waste management practices.
“As we all know that we are currently in the rainy season, Sagamu Youth Association under the leadership of Comrade Olugbenga Lawal, Ambassador Easy thereby commence a campaign on ‘The Dumping of Refuse Inside The Drainage System’ which is highly prohibited under law”.
Ambassador Easy and his team have taken it upon themselves to continually sensitize the general public most especially during this period, why refuse shouldn’t be dumped inside the drainage systems, the havoc that such dumping could cause to our society.
The campaign has kicked off two days ago in Sagamu, the President therefore beseech the entire people in Sagamu metropolis to join hands in such campaign so as to continually live in peace and harmony and to avoid disaster as prevention is better than cure and people’s welfare is his ultimate priority.
The new President tasked the youths across Sagamu local government to join in the campaign in order to put a stoppage to dumping of refuse inside drainages which could eventually wreck havoc if proper care isn’t taken.
