Ogun Election: Dr. Oyenuga Jamiu (Jasper) Wins PDP Sagamu Chairmanship Ticket, Olatunji Minirudeen (Engr. Fish) Emerges Vice Chairman

In a bruhaha free contested primary election, Dr. Oyenuga Adeshola Jamiu, popularly known as Jasper, has emerged as the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chairmanship candidate for Sagamu Local Government, and Honourable Olatunji Odunayo Minirudeen otherwise known as Engineer Fish as Vice Chairman.

The election, held on Saturday, September 7th, 2024 at the Lord Bashy Center (LBC) in Sagamu, saw Jasper clinched the party’s ticket with an overwhelming majority of the votes. His victory was hailed by party faithful and supporters, who expressed confidence in his ability to lead the local government to greater heights.

Jasper, a seasoned grassroots politician and community leader, has unveiled his JASPER agenda, a comprehensive development plan for Sagamu. His vision focuses on:

At the Chairmanship primaries of the party held today 7th September 2024 at the National Working Committee approved venue Lord Bashy Centre Hospital Road Sagamu supervised by officer of OGSIEC Mr. Ajetunmobi Bolaji Adetayo, men of the Nigerian police Force, Nigeria Defence Civil Service, Department of State Security and conducted by the officials assigned by the State Caretaker Committee of the Party Evang. Lamidi Sopelola (Presiding Officer) and Alhaji Mustapha Musa Dapo (Collating Officer).

Dr. Oyenuga Adeshola Jamiu won the party primary and emerged the candidate of the party in the presence of all the party leaders, party faithful and observers at the primaries.

With his emergence as the PDP flag bearer, Jasper is poised to face candidates from other political parties in the November 16 local government elections in Sagamu.

Reacting to his victory, Jasper thanked the party delegates and leaders, promising to work tirelessly to deliver the dividends of democracy to the people of Sagamu.

The PDP leadership in Ogun State, Alhaja Mujidat, Alhaja Radiat, former Sagamu Local Government chairman, Honourable Daisi Akintan, Alhaji Abana, Sagamu PDP party Chairman and others has congratulated Jasper on his victory, assuring him of their support in the forthcoming elections.
