Jubilations As RIDSCo Partner Olam Nig. Ltd. To Commission Boreholes In Ayetoro, Sóomò Community Gets Portable Water After Decades Of Existence
In its bid at making water available to rural communities in Sagamu Local Government, the Royal Initiative for the Development Of Sagamu Community (RIDSCo) in partnership with Olam Nig. Ltd had commissioned yet another historical borehole projects in Makun area of Sagamu Local Government at the ruralship of Soomo Community and St Paul’s Anglican School Ayetoro, Makun, Sagamu.
The Eaglesforesight online newspaper learnt and reported that the project which was the first of it kind in the Soomo community was monitored by the elders and chiefs of the community. The people of Soomo commended both the facilitator and the sponsor of the project for giving the people of the community a well drilled borehole with stand and generator to make drinkable water available at all times in the Community, which is the first ever since the inception of the community many decades ago.
Speaking at the commissioning, the Olu Of Sóomò expresses his gratitude by chanting praises and prayers. He also appreciated the board of management of Olam Nig Ltd for collaborating with RIDSCo to achieve the feat and urged residents to take good care of the project.
“Please see this project as yours, work in unison to maintain it so that when you need more, they will not hesitate to come to your aid, Olu of Sóowò told the residents of the community.

“Water has many benefits for humanity that its absence can cause health crisis, for us to preempt that, RIDSCo is poised to make water available throughout the nooks and crannies of the communities under Sagamu Local Government,” said, the Chairman of RIDSCo, Olootu Omoba M.O Oyedele.
Speaking in the same vein, Olu of Atoyo who was invited to rejoice with the Community, said the people of the area would always remember RIDSCo for good over the gesture. He said the borehole they did in his own community for over 8-years is still as new as it was built and he urged the residents of Sóomò to maintain this as well.
“I want to express our profound gratitude to RIDSCo and Olam Nig Ltd for this laudable gesture. He who gives water has given life, we shall continue to remember you both for good and this we shall tell our unborn generation for such historical project.
“We wish to assure you that the project will be adequately maintained and preserved for those coming behind us. We acknowledged your efforts to put this in place, it gives us rest of mind whenever we will be fetching water from this tap, that shows clearly that we are now safe.”
Similarly, the Headteacher of St Paul School, Ayetoro appreciated RIDSCo and Olam for providing water especially for the pupils and staff of the school. She said they cannot thank the donor enough as the beneficiaries will ensure the maintenance of the project.
RIDSCo Facilitates Commissioning Of Two Laudable Projects In Sagamu
The Chairman of RIDSCo, Olootu Omoba M.O. Oyedele emphatically stated that the generator is meant for the borehole as it should not be taken away from the school. He said the idea is simply to ensure availability of water always for the pupils.
Dignitaries at the event includes Olootu Omoba M.O. Oyedele, Mrs A.O.A. Adesanya, Chief Bldr. E. Olu Sokoya, Com Adekunle Bello, Otunba Taju Saka, Otunba Segun Onabolu, Asojuoba Michael Adesanya and Lukman Banjoko for RIDSCo.
